Alfuttaim Nigeria Limited Unveils PowerNaija: A Groundbreaking Renewable Energy Marketplace App at NREIF 2025
At the 2025 Nigerian Renewable Energy Innovation Forum (NREIF), held on October 14th and 15th, Alfuttaim Nigeria Limited showcased its latest clean-tech solutionPowerNaija- a renewable energy marketplace mobile app. The platform enables users to buy and trade energy tokens, and uniquely, calculate, validate, and list carbon credits on the carbon market.
Alfuttaim Nigeria Limited participated in the Nigerian Renewable Energy Innovation Forum (NREIF) 2025, held on October 14th and 15th in Abuja and hosted by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). During the event, the company launched PowerNaija, a first-of-its-kind mobile application that combines energy token trading with end-to-end carbon credit management.
Designed for individuals, communities, and energy providers across Nigeria, PowerNaija empowers users to both access clean energy and unlock economic value through the carbon market all from a mobile device.
With Nigeria targeting universal access to electricity by 2030 and increased private sector participation, Alfuttaims platform aligns perfectly with national sustainability objectives and global climate goals.
The launch at NREIF 2025 marks a major step toward digitally-enabled clean energy adoption, especially in off-grid and rural communities where traditional financing and energy models fall short.
